The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) is the largest membership organization of professional social workers in the world, with 120,000 members. NASW works to enhance the professional growth and development of its members, to create and maintain professional standards, and to advance sound social policies.

NASW Chapter Organizations

NASW’s 55 chapters serve members through units, branches, regions and divisions. Chapters are extensions of the NASW national office and provide a variety of membership benefits, products and services. Each chapter has a board of directors that develops unique programs to better serve its members and to facilitate participation by its members.

NASW Assurance Services, Inc.

NASW Assurance Services, Inc. (ASI) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of NASW, responsible for designing, securing, and overseeing high quality, competitive insurance, financial and other programs and services offered to social workers, including professional liability insurance. Social workers control and oversee NASW ASI programs on behalf of members and strive to creatively meet the changing and diverse needs of social workers, enhance the value of NASW membership, and support NASW and programs of importance to social workers, while being ever mindful of their commitment to maintaining the financial stability and fiscal integrity of NASW ASI.
